[EDC] Special Session on “How to Change the World”

This session will be held December 9 – It was originally scheduled for December 16.

This Wednesday session will be hosted by Mary Wells, University of Waterloo, with special guest Jason Blackstock, Founder and CEO, How to Change the World.

The opening subject for discussion will be the two upcoming pan-Canadian and fully-virtual ‘How to Change the World’ programs, scheduled for February 15-19 and March 1-5 to align with the winter breaks of most institutions. This will cover the opportunity for institutions to participate, the alignment with the next stage of the Canadian Engineering Grand Challenges, and the emerging plans for a pan-Canadian network funding application to take these initiatives to the next level beyond February and March. It will be followed by an open forum on topics of general interest, time permitting.

Engineering Deans Canada continues its Wednesday Zoom meetings, on a monthly basis – These sessions are used to advance the organization’s agenda and to learn from each other, sharing information about resources and practices as we continue to adapt during this challenging time. Previously-recorded information sessions and related materials are available on the Web Portal. Feel free to contact Jim Nicell, Chair or John Kizas, Secretariat with suggested topics for future sessions.
