James\u2019 new role will include building and strengthening relationships between existing engineering education groups, as well as working with stakeholders to establish sustainable long-term strategies for the network.<\/p>\n<p>James McIntyre is currently the acting Chair of the School of Engineering and Architecture Technologies (SEAT) at George Brown College in Toronto, ON. He has been a Professor and Program Coordinator in the Mechanical Engineering Design Technology program since 2000. In addition to academic duties, James has been a leader in building research and innovation capacity through engagement with students, industry and community partners. James has been an active researcher and facilitated the creation of the Product Development Exchange (PDx) at George Brown College. He holds a Master\u2019s degree in Product Development (Massey University), a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Physics (Queen\u2019s University) as well as 8 years of industry experience in manufacturing engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Please join us in welcoming James into this new role.
