[EDC] Approaches to building interdisciplinary collaborations within a university

Many opportunities for enhanced education or research call for collaboration between disciplines. However, collaboration across disciplinary or organizational lines is often difficult due to cultural differences, competing interests, and structural barriers. This session will focus on approaches that have been used at different institutions, successfully and not-so-successfully, to cross disciplinary divides. Come prepared to share your experiences.

Jim Nicell, Past Chair, McGill University, will lead the panel discussion.

Engineering Deans Canada continues its Wednesday Zoom meetings, on a monthly basis – These sessions are used to advance the organization’s agenda and to learn from each other, sharing information about resources and practices as we continue to adapt during this challenging time. Previously-recorded information sessions and related materials are available on the Web Portal. Feel free to contact Kevin Deluzio, Chair or John Kizas, Secretariat with suggested topics for future sessions.
